QR Codes have been around for a while, but I’m seeing more and more QR codes pop up left and right- in magazine ads, stores and restaurants. Here’s an interesting break down of who’s decoding the mystery behind the funny looking squares.
Music On My Mind
New songs I’ve discovered that make me want to dance around. =)
Lykke Li – I Follow You (Magician Remix)
Cut Copy – Lights & Music
Angry Birds Cake. WHAT?!
Can I just say that this is one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a long time? What a cool dad! You can even PLAY a real life round of Angry Birds too.
SEIL Cyclist Bag
Ok, this is really neat. I haven’t looked into this product to know if it’s on the market or not, but the SEIL Cyclist Bag by Lee Myung Su is a backpack that displays traffic signals with LED lights. It shows the people around the cyclist which way they intend on turning, some emergency signals and even what mood the cyclist is in. If I ever see one of these around in Houston, I’ll give you a big thumbs up!
Starbucks Launches New Logo
I always find it interesting when companies update and change their logos. It makes me wonder why? why now? and what does this new logo mean? In my daily routine of perusing the internet, I stumbled across an article that said Starbucks was launching a new logo to mark their 40th anniversary. I thought to myself, “Wow, that’s kind of a big deal!” Starbucks has such a strong and identifiable logo that I’m sure even three year old kids could probably point and mumble coffee when they saw it. With the new logo dropping the “Starbucks Coffee” text, it’s pretty obvious Starbucks is making its first big step to have their brand encompass more than just coffee. What though? Who knows. It could be food (which they’ve kind of toyed with the last couple of years with their breakfast, protein plates and sandwiches), coffee appliances, or heck, Starbucks energy drinks! Who knows! We’ll just have to wait and see how Starbucks evolves in the coming future.
